Pumping & Milk Flow Issues

  • Problem: The pump is working, but there is no milk flow.

Solution: Turn off the pump and check your nipple position again inside the flange tunnel. Your nipple should be in the middle. Be sure the pump is firmly pressed against your breast. You can pump longer because milk let-down can be otherwise.

  • Problem: You feel pain or discomfort while pumping.

Solution: Keep the pump close to your breast by securing your bra. You can even lower the suction strength, as well. Ensure that your nipple is also in the correct position. The pump will automatically shut down after 30 minutes; ensure that you haven't been pumping for too long.

  • Problem: The pump is running, but the suction is not strong.

Solution: First, check the suction level. The M9 pump has 15 levels, and you can adjust it to turn up the power. Second, make sure that all parts that are washable are properly in place and not cracked. Manually check all of the parts because they are to be replaced after three months of use. Lastly, make sure that the pump is powered on and held against your breast firmly.

Power & Charging Issues

  • Problem: The pump is not charging.

Solution: Make sure the USB Type-C cable is plugged all the way into the charger and charging port of the pump.

  • Problem: The pump won't shut off.

Solution: Press the On/Off/Pause button. If there is no response from the pump, manually break the vacuum seal by inserting a finger between your breast tissue and the flange before pressing the power button again.

Device Care & Maintenance

What flange size do I need?

Measure your nipple diameter in millimeters just before pumping, then add 1–3 mm. For example, a 20 mm nipple diameter = a 21 mm insert. All Momcozy pumps include a 24 mm default flange; smaller inserts (17/19/21 mm) are included with most models. If your nipple is larger than 23 mm, a 27 mm flange is available separately for select models.
